PRISMAS BASALTICOS! ?????????????????? Photo from high above the Prismas Basalticos in Huasca de Ocampo, Mexico. Los Prismas Basálticos (The Basalt Prisms) are tall columns of basalt rock that line a ravine through which water runs from the San Antonio Dam. The walls of the canyon, “Barranca de Alcholoya”, are lined by polygonal columns between 98-164 ft high. The basalt columns were created by the slow cooling of volcanic lava. There are two waterfalls here, one of which I will post tomorrow. Pretty amazing, right? ?????????????????? The most perfect picnic setup at my “Bon Vogage” brunch yesterday at @miravalmbr ???? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The incredibly talented ladies at @alfresko_events dreamed up this beautiful going away feast for me and my friends yesterday. I cuddled around this table with some of my best girlfriends and “cheers”ed to new beginnings. We sipped green juice in champagne flutes and nibbled on platters of quiche, cheese and even pancake lollipops. We’ve had nearly a week of nonstop rain here in So Cal, but yesterday was as warm and sunny as a summer’s day. I am so fortunate to have so many amazing humans in my life that love and support me– no matter what crazy dream I dream up next. It’s been incredibly bittersweet to lift my roots, but I’m so excited to call Cape Town home. South Africa here I come! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ?: @katreynolds_ #monarchbeach #danapoint #miraval #california #picnic

Took a moment to capture this shot of my boy Jandi walking through the bush in Western Australia, as he taught me how to find water, not get lost, and trek down goannas (big lizards) for eating. There were no tour guides, no groups, just a couple of dudes cruising around the outback on foot, connecting through our differences. To me, this is what it’s all about. #TravelDeeper
