Spelunking, or exploring caves, is one of my favorite adventure travel activities. There’s a huge underground network of limestone caves in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The ancient Maya used them for rituals & sacrifice. But now you can explore some of them, like this amazing cave at @riosecreto. Check out my new article about it on the blog! ••••••••••••••••••••• ?? LINK IN BIO ?? ••••••••••••••••••••• @allmexico365 #riosecreto #rivieramaya

Feeling small and in awe❤️You can hike, raft, horseback ride, and wander the many miles of the Grand Canyon, but the best way to see Mother Nature’s epic masterpiece is via helicopter! P.S. I have enough aerial views of this canyon to last a lifetime so don’t mind me when I post them for years to come? #grandcanyon #arizona #travel #adventure #helicopter

PRISMAS BASALTICOS! ?????????????????? Photo from high above the Prismas Basalticos in Huasca de Ocampo, Mexico. Los Prismas Basálticos (The Basalt Prisms) are tall columns of basalt rock that line a ravine through which water runs from the San Antonio Dam. The walls of the canyon, 「Barranca de Alcholoya」, are lined by polygonal columns between 98-164 ft high. The basalt columns were created by the slow cooling of volcanic lava. There are two waterfalls here, one of which I will post tomorrow. Pretty amazing, right? ?????????????????? The most perfect picnic setup at my 「Bon Vogage」 brunch yesterday at @miravalmbr ???? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The incredibly talented ladies at @alfresko_events dreamed up this beautiful going away feast for me and my friends yesterday. I cuddled around this table with some of my best girlfriends and 「cheers」ed to new beginnings. We sipped green juice in champagne flutes and nibbled on platters of quiche, cheese and even pancake lollipops. We’ve had nearly a week of nonstop rain here in So Cal, but yesterday was as warm and sunny as a summer’s day. I am so fortunate to have so many amazing humans in my life that love and support me– no matter what crazy dream I dream up next. It’s been incredibly bittersweet to lift my roots, but I’m so excited to call Cape Town home. South Africa here I come! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ?: @katreynolds_ #monarchbeach #danapoint #miraval #california #picnic

Took a moment to capture this shot of my boy Jandi walking through the bush in Western Australia, as he taught me how to find water, not get lost, and trek down goannas (big lizards) for eating. There were no tour guides, no groups, just a couple of dudes cruising around the outback on foot, connecting through our differences. To me, this is what it’s all about. #TravelDeeper
As the legend goes, the Giant’s Causeway was built by the Irish giant Finn MacCool, who was challenged to a fight by the Scottish giant Benandonner. Finn accepted the challenge and built the causeway across the North Channel so that the two giants could meet… The story goes on, but the evidence remains here in Northern Ireland. And no matter if you believe in the geology or legend, this crazy coastline of symmetric rock formations is something you gotta see to believe.

World Wonder New Years Countdown #4: Chichen Itza, in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico! I was able to rent a car for cheap and drive here on my own, and yes, I got there when it opened so no people would be in the pic. Roadtrip itinerary is on my blog! ??????. . Oh and history lesson: Supposedly human sacrifices were made at the top of this pyramid and the still-beating hearts were dropped into the pyramid as an offering… Sacrifices were also anchored down into all those pretty cenotes you see everywhere as well…? . #worldwonders #newyears #chichenitza #mexico #yucatan #rivieramaya #tulum #pyramid #mylifesamovie #mylifesatravelmovie #travelblog #travelblogged #goprogirl
What if I told you that anyone could get paid, no matter what, to travel? I just tried @grabrinc, the genius site that pays travelers to deliver shopping items worldwide, and made $540! Plus I got to see the smiling faces of locals when they picked up their items! Check it all out, smiles, info, and even a Minion on my Snapchat or IG Story! I get a lot of weird looks when I’m taking my photos…most people snicker and say 「Oohh selfiieee」 or scoff at my 「selfie stick」, but I just smile and do a hair flip and think 「You have no idea how awesome this angle is going to look.」 Funny how stereotypes work isn’t it? ?????? . #powertotheselfiestick #photographer #travelblogger #mylifesamovie #mylifesatravelmovie #photography #paris #france #eiffeltower #gopro #goprogirl #hero5 #visitfrance #beautifuldestinations #vacations #lonelyplanet #girlslovetravel #wearetravelgirls #passionpassport #worldofwanderlust

Daybreak on the busy beaches of Nouakchott, Mauritania. On the surface you’d think tourism could do well on the wide, beautiful, Atlantic beaches of this West African nation. In reality there is nothing here at all except for colorful old fishing boats, laborers and donkeys to transport things from sea to city 5 miles away. This is the real West Africa. Have you been?
One of the best little towns in Europe is Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. Many people never leave Prague when visiting Czech but there are so many awesome places to see in the Central European country. This town may also be familiar to some as where they shot the movie Hostel even though they said it was Slovakia in the film. Have you been to the Czech Republic? ••••••• Tonight I fly to London to start my trip where I’ll also pop into Paris for a day and 4 countries in Central/West Africa over the next two weeks. Follow along on my social channels! I’ll be snapping a lot and also try these Instagram stories again. Stay tuned!

The most important piece of advice when visiting Machu Pichu is one of my favorites: Planning Ahead! Tickets to this World Wonder are limited, especially if you want to climb Huayna Pichu or Pichu Mountain (400 people a day). To get there fast you’ll have to take a train, and there are only a few each day! You can buy everything easily online now, don’t worry! And for lodging, give yourself a treat and check out @sumaqhotel for the ultimate Inkan experience!

Thrilled to announce that I am officially a Guinness World Record holder!! My recent attempt with @rodrigofernandezt to visit 「12 @unesco world heritage sites in 24 hours」 across Germany and the Netherlands was just approved. We covered 1,500+ kilometers and took 5 trains, 5 buses, 4 metros, 8 taxis, 1 flight and we ran/jogged 10+ miles…. all in 20 hours and 2 minutes. I’m already planning my next @guinnessworldrecords ?✔️ more info about the record (+ a video) in my new blog post (link in bio)
